Its fame was further enhanced in the 1990s, when, at the behest of Dr. Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, who had inherited the splendid estate from his grandfather Eng. Enrico Piaggio, work began on restructuring and modernising the vineyards, the production system and the old farmhouses, now used for tourism.
